💼 Contract / Temporary Opportunities | $40 – $75 per hour + super

At Mayday Recruitment , we are currently partnering with a number of not-for-profit, charity, aged care and community service organisations across Sydney who are strengthening their governance frameworks and compliance functions in response to regulatory reform, audit cycles and sector-wide transformation initiatives.

With increased focus on board governance, risk oversight, NDIS quality standards, and accreditation requirements, we are expanding our network of experienced governance and compliance professionals seeking contract or temporary opportunities in early 2026.

We work with values-led organisations delivering services across disability, mental health, housing, aged care, education and community programs — and we are anticipating strong demand across corporate governance and risk functions.

Roles we regularly recruit for include:

• Governance Officer / Governance Administrator
• Board Secretariat / Board Support Officer
• Assistant Company Secretary (Contract)
• Risk & Compliance Officer
• Quality & Compliance Coordinator (NDIS / Aged Care)
• Policy & Governance Officer
• Clinical Governance Administrator
• Assurance & Audit Support Officer

Typical responsibilities may include:

• Coordinating board and committee meetings, agendas, papers and minutes
• Maintaining governance registers (delegations, policies, conflicts of interest, risk registers)
• Supporting ASIC / ACNC reporting and statutory compliance
• Assisting with internal and external audit preparation
• Managing policy review cycles and documentation control
• Supporting accreditation processes (NDIS, Aged Care Quality Standards, ISO frameworks)
• Tracking incidents, compliance reporting and risk mitigation actions
• Preparing governance and risk reports for executive and board-level review

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience within governance, compliance, risk or board support functions
• Exposure to NFP, disability, aged care, education or community services sectors
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (ACNC, ASIC, NDIS Practice Standards, Aged Care Standards)
• Excellent minute-taking, documentation and reporting skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
