Accounts Receivable Officer

Our client is a well-established Australian business with a strong presence and a reputation for stability and a supportive team culture. They're now seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join their busy finance team in Brisbane.

This role suits someone who thrives in a high-volume, high-energy environment and enjoys the variety of managing a large ledger, resolving queries, and working closely with branch teams across the business.

What you'll be doing:

• Processing high volumes of customer payments daily including direct credit, BPAY, EFTPOS, cheque and cash deposits
• Reconciling multiple bank accounts and investigating/clearing unreconciled transactions
• Maintaining customer accounts, including reconciling payments and resolving disputed or outstanding items
• Preparing, maintaining and filing relevant documentation
• Liaising with branches and the credit function on customer account queries and payments
• Assisting with month-end customer statement distribution and other ad hoc duties as required

What we're looking for:

• Experience working across multi-faceted accounting systems with experience in accounts receivable
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal direction
• Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with multiple stakeholders
