About the role:
Reporting directly into the senior finance team, you will assist with overseeing a small finance team and support the day-to-day operations of the finance function.
Your role duties will include:
· Assisting with leading, managing and supporting a small team of 1–2 staff
· Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the finance function
· Supporting transactional finance processes and ensuring deadlines are met
· Assisting with reconciliations, reporting and month-end activities
· Identifying and implementing opportunities for process and system improvements
· Being a key support to the wider finance team
· Establishing and maintaining strong relationships across the business alongside internal stakeholders
· Reporting and analytical duties
The ideal candidate:
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar Senior Finance Officer, Team Leader or supervisory role, with the ability to confidently step into a position supporting a small team.
Additionally, you will have the follow attributes:
· Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
· Excellent leadership skills with an ability to support and develop staff
· Confidence and ability to take the lead
· Strong transactional finance knowledge and attention to detail
· Exposure to large ERP systems is highly important
· Strong systems capability and ability to quickly adapt to new systems
· Positive attitude and forward thinking mindset
· Dynamic and flexible personality, with an ability to adapt and work proficiently in a high volume environment
· Experience in the aged care, health, NDIS or not-for-profit industry is highly advantageous
· Immediately available or able to commence at short notice
