O&G Registrar / Advanced Trainee | Regional Referral Hospital | Queensland
The Opportunity
We are keen to connect with Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrars and Advanced Trainees interested in full-time training opportunities within a major regional referral hospital in Queensland.
The service provides broad obstetric and gynaecological exposure across a high-volume maternity unit and busy operative gynaecology service. Registrars are supported by experienced FRANZCOG consultants within a structured and collaborative roster model.
This role will appeal to trainees seeking strong operative exposure, consistent delivery numbers and meaningful regional experience.
The Hospital & Women’s Health Services
This is a 300-bed regional referral hospital serving as the principal acute care centre for Central Queensland.
The Women’s Health service includes:
• High-volume maternity unit
• Special Care Nursery support
• 24/7 obstetric theatre access
• Comprehensive gynaecological surgical lists
• Integration with Anaesthetics, Paediatrics and ICU
• Regional referral catchment
Registrars gain exposure to both routine and complex obstetric presentations across a large geographic region.
Training & Development

• Operative obstetrics exposure
• Emergency gynaecology and elective surgical experience
• Opportunities to develop procedural confidence
International doctors assessed as partially or substantially comparable by RANZCOG are encouraged to enquire.

The Location
Based in a well-established regional centre in Queensland, the area offers short commute times, strong schooling and access to coastline and outdoor recreation.
Requirements
• Onshore with limited or general registration with AHPRA.
• UK or IRE Competent Authority Pathway Candidates with at least 2 yrs exp in O&G
• RANZCOG trainee or Advanced Trainee
• International Medical Graduates assessed by RANZCOG as partially or substantially comparable
