We’re looking for a passionate and driven Commis chef who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in delivering exceptional food every time. If you love teamwork, creativity, and maintaining high culinary standards, this role is for you.
What you’ll be doing:
Running your section with confidence, efficiency, and consistency
Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to recipe and brand standards
Supporting smooth service with strong organisation and a sense of urgency
Monitoring stock, minimising waste, and maintaining cost awareness
Mentoring and supporting apprentices and junior chefs
Working collaboratively across kitchen sections to deliver outstanding guest experiences
Maintaining impeccable food safety, hygiene, and kitchen standards
What we’re looking for:
A team player with a genuine passion for food, attention to detail, and the drive to help create memorable dining experiences for every guest.
•Trade qualified and a minimum of 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen environment is a plus
•Experience within a restaurant or hotel environment is an advantage
•Be able to demonstrate creativity and flair in menu and design
•As with the hospitality industry you will be available to work various rostered shifts
•Understanding of safety and manual handling requirements
•Remain calm and effective in high volume work situations
•Be a good team player; contribute to and assist co-workers without being asked
•Flexibility to work a rotating roster including mornings or evenings, weekends and public holidays
