Disrupting the market, we are serving real, locally sourced and manufactured pet food - wet, dry, fresh, chilled and treats. No one knows pets quite the way we do! Our Somersby Manufacturing Site is where we manufacture our animal treats, including our Love 'Em Dried Liver treats for our doggy friends, and we are looking for confident and enthusiastic Machine Operators to join our Liver Processing team. Specifically, this line handles raw protein (red meat) so you need to be comfortable in a 'wet' manufacturing environment. This role is for Mon-Fri 6am - 2pm. Key Responsibilities will include: Setting up and operating a slicer and other related equipment Monitoring production processes Loading and feeding raw materials (Liver) Performing quality checks Adjusting temperature controls for our baking ovens Working on the production lines as well as within a cool room Troubleshooting issues that may arise Maintaining a safe and clean work environment Working with raw materials Manual Handling Some heavy lifting Skills & Experience Must pass our Pre-Employment Medical and have the capability and strength to lift up to 20KG Basic mechanical aptitude Hold a current and valid Forklift Licence (Preferred) Experience within machine operating - preferably with food manufacturing production lines Excellent attention to detail Ability to work within a team and independently Must be willing to perform general warehouse tasks daily Ability to maintain production logs Experience working within a butchery or abattoir will be viewed positively On the job training Opportunities and career progression within the business What we’re about Welcome to RPF, where we believe in keeping it Real.
