Quality Inspector

Tecside is a specialist recruitment company seeking a Quality Inspector to work with our client who is an industry-leading manufacturer and supplier of equipment, technologies and services for the construction, forklift, mining, industrial and forestry markets.

The role :

The role will entail inspecting incoming goods for underground mining equipment. Based in Minto, you will be employed on a labour hire basis with Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday, plus overtime when required.

Duties and key responsibilities :

• Quality inspecting inbound certified product
• Dimensional inspections of precision machined components
• Dimensional inspection of fabricated components
• Bi-annual routine motor inspections
• Declaration of Conformity adherence
• Recording of quality issues including customer returns
• Liaison with local and global teams to resolve quality issues / Engineering changes
• Quarantine of materials found to be outside of specification

Skills and Experience :

• 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated experience using measuring and calibration tools
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings / specifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate computer skills

It is desirable you have :

• Relevant background in : Mining / manufacturing / mechanical engineering or other related industry.
• Experience using SAP in a similar role.
