Diesel Mechanic - Heavy Vehicle

$50-$60ph depending on experience
Hoppers Crossing, Full Time, Automotive

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team based in Hoppers Crossing.

This is a hands-on role suited to a qualified and experienced mechanic who is confident working on heavy commercial vehicles and enjoys diagnosing, servicing and maintaining a modern truck fleet.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repairs of heavy vehicles, including:

  • Mercedes-Benz Actros
  • Sinotruk SITRAK
  • General heavy vehicle mechanical repairs and maintenance
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Preventative servicing and inspections
  • Carrying out repairs efficiently and to a high standard
  • Ensuring vehicles are maintained to a safe and reliable standard

About You

We're looking for someone who is experienced, reliable and confident working independently.

Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic
  • Strong heavy vehicle mechanical experience
  • Experience working on Mercedes Actros and/or Sinotruk SITRAK highly regarded
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Relevant mechanical qualifications and licences
