Centre Director - Majella Long Day Care and Kindergarten - Chermside West
Permanent full-time position | 38 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Lead a great team in a beautiful, nature-filled setting at Majella Early Learning Centre.
Majella is a warm, community-focused 85-place Long Day Care service, open from 6:30am to 6:00pm, with a brand-new playground and strong connections with families.
As Centre Director, you’ll inspire a dedicated team, oversee daily operations and drive high-quality early learning programs where every child feels safe, supported and excited to learn. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of a high quality, inclusive and educational program
- Manage day to day operations of the service including staffing, administration and financial management tasks
- Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment
- Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
Job Requirements:
- Diploma and/or Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent in compliance with ACECQA guidelines
- Previous experience in childcare service management
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
- Current child protection training
- Consent to being the Nominated Supervisor of the service
- Strong understanding of early childhood legislation, including the NQF, NQS, EYLF, and QLD Kindergarten Learning Guidelines
- Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
- Proven leadership skills to develop a team of staff
