GR Engineering Services Limited is an engineering consulting and contracting organisation providing high quality process engineering design and construction services to the resources and mineral processing industry.

We currently have multiple projects on the go and our projection for growth means we are actively looking for talent across all areas of our business.

We are currently seeking experienced SMP Supervisors and Superintendents to join our Construction Team based in WA across various projects

As a SMP Supervisor or Superintendent with GRES you would report directly to the Construction Manager, and would provide Supervision & support to site employees including planning, monitoring, problem solving and monitoring safety and standard compliance.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

• Enforce safe work practices, ensuring that all personnel are adequately trained and supported and that HSE standards are met
• Ensure that the project is kept on schedule and within budget
• Supervise and evaluate workmanship and quality
• Oversee construction, ensuring that it is in compliance with GRES standards
• Actively participate and lead by example “Safe Work Practices” and behaviour
• Conduct pre-start meetings daily
• Conduct safety tool box meetings
• Participate in hazard identification, assessment and implementation of controls as identified in the client risk assessment study
• Take a lead role in incident management - notification, investigation and reporting
• Training, coaching and competency assessment of personnel where applicable
• Responsible to ensure all site personnel comply with the site quality and environmental requirements
• Monitor site activities in a way that minimises and controls pollution, guards the environment
• That the management structures and resources provided for his / her area of responsibility are used effectively to provide compliance with legislation, regulations, codes of practice and national standards relating to safety, health, hazard and risk management

Skills/Qualifications: ( all essential )

• Trade certificate (Construction related) and appropriate Licences
• White Card
• Relevant experience in Construction and Mining with a minimum of 5 years experience at a supervisory level
• Relevant Supervisors certificates for S26 including law exam*essential
• Current First Aid certificate
• Current clean National Police Clearance
• Ability to pass a Medical and DAS
• Experience with Dry & Wet Plant
• Full and unrestricted Australian working rights *essential
