This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026

Bunbury Senior High School (SHS) is perched on a hill overlooking both the cityscape of Bunbury and the extensive Bunbury beach front. It makes use of its location, extending the boundaries of the campus into the city, to provide students with a unique, rich learning experience in real world settings totally intertwined with the city itself.

The Role

Bunbury Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Program Coordinator - Science to join our high-performing leadership team.

As the successful applicant, you will be an exceptional classroom practitioner who leads the implementation of high‑quality, evidence‑based teaching practice across the Science team. You will confidently analyse the effectiveness of teaching programs alongside student achievement data, using these insights to build staff capability and enhance overall team performance. Your ability to foster a cohesive, collaborative team culture that contributes positively to the wider school environment will be highly valued.

You will bring innovative thinking to the design and delivery of programs that align student needs and interests with engaging learning experiences. Strong interpersonal skills and an enthusiasm to pursue collaborative opportunities with community partners are essential. You will also lead the development and implementation of effective differentiation strategies that support the diverse learning needs of all students, including those in the Gifted and Talented Program.

Highly developed collaborative skills are critical, as you will work closely with other Heads of Learning and the school’s Executive Team to progress whole‑school priorities. You will be capable of translating the intent of the school’s Business Plan and Strategic Directions into a clear, actionable improvement plan for the learning area that guides and supports staff to achieve excellence.
