About the role:

As the Leader, Pricing Strategy, you’ll lead the Pricing Strategy Analyst team in developing and delivering pricing strategies that support strong commercial outcomes for Virgin Australia. You’ll play a key role in identifying pricing opportunities, developing strategic pricing options and analysing our competitive position to ensure our pricing remains competitive and aligned to market conditions. You’ll work closely with the Manager, Pricing Strategy, while coaching and developing the broader team.

Working cross functionally with teams across the business, including Sales and Marketing, you’ll help optimise pricing strategies and ensure our campaigns are driving revenue in the travel periods. This is a great opportunity to have a direct impact on Virgin Australia’s revenue performance, influence our pricing strategy and build strong relationships across the business to deliver meaningful commercial outcomes.

• Proactively identify and recommend pricing opportunities to the Pricing Manager and Revenue Management leadership team to maximise return
• Lead analysis of financial impacts and our competitive position to support informed pricing decisions
• Develop, refine and lead the approach of reviewing of Virgin Australia pricing settings regularly
• Work closely with teams across the business to optimise pricing strategies and campaigns
• Direct support and involvement in key projects impacting Virgin Australia Pricing
• Provide support and coverage for the Manager, Pricing Strategy when required
• Regularly review pricing processes to improve accuracy and reduce the risk of errors
• Work with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve efficiency from pricing ideation through to implementation
• Coach and develop the Pricing Strategy Analyst team

What we're looking for:

• Experience in pricing within a dynamic, high-frequency environment
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work through large volumes of data and turn insights into clear, actionable recommendations
• Proven leadership and people management experience, with a focus on coaching and developing team capability
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective relationships across the business
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to work through complex commercial challenges
• Knowledge of the Australian aviation market across both domestic and international
• Experience using ATPCO Architect or other airline pricing systems
• Experience in airline pricing and fare coding through ATPCO
