Job Title: Traffic Services Support Officer
Location: East Perth
Position Type: 6 months
Start Date: 7 April 6

About the Role
Are you passionate about traffic engineering and improving road safety outcomes? We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Traffic Services Support Officer to join our client’s team in East Perth.
In this role, you will contribute to the safety and efficiency of Western Australia’s road network by supporting traffic management initiatives and collaborating with internal teams, local governments, and the community

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and support on traffic management and road safety matters to a range of stakeholders
  • Investigate traffic-related issues and develop practical, evidence-based solutions
  • Monitor road network performance and safety, conducting investigations and recommending improvements
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of minor improvement projects, including traffic signals, signage, and line marking
  • Support data collection, analysis, and traffic modelling, and prepare detailed technical reports
About You (Essential Requirements for the position)
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience in Traffic Engineering principles and practices
  • Experience in road safety investigations, analysis, and problem-solving
  • Current WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Engineering background with knowledge of road design and safety standards
  • Experience in data analysis and technical report writing
  • Familiarity with Australian Standards, Austroads Guide to Road Design, and the Road Traffic Code
