Job Description
Reporting to Group Finance & Commercial Manager, the position includes the following responsibilities:
- Investigation of time management system discrepancies and/or anomalies
- Data input and/or collation associated with the preparation of periodic payrolls
- Checking, printing and distribution of reports within specified time frames
- Preparation of worksheets to support superannuation payments, payroll tax remittances and Work Cover remuneration statements
- Administrative assistance with Work Cover issues
- Timely and accurate preparation of annual payment summaries
- Updating the payroll system and related procedures for any changes in statutory requirements
- Reconciliation of payroll related payments
- Attending to general payroll and administrative queries from other staff members on a timely basis
- General administrative duties, including filing and responding to queries from external parties, as may be required from time to time
- Any other duties associated with the efficient functioning of the payroll department as may be requested from time to time by the payroll manager.
- Ensure compliance with all of SCT’s OHS policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation

Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience with ADP Payforce National
- Intermediate Word, Excel and Outlook skills
- Previous experience in general payroll and time recording systems
- Understanding and knowledge of payroll processes and processing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness and ability to work as a member of a team
- Understanding and strict adherence to the principles of confidentiality
- Strong work ethic
- Commitment to performing all tasks within specified timeframes
- Strong organizational and personal time management skills
