You can find our lovely Service in the old Pizza Hut building on the corner of Hannan and Congdon Street.Whether stepping in for short-notice shifts or covering planned leave, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every child feels supported and inspired to learn. Your Impact as a Casual Educator Step into different rooms and support permanent staff with daily routines and transitions* Deliver and assist with play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues* Maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements* Bring enthusiasm and adaptability to each shift Essential Qualifications Certificate III, Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or an equivalent).* A current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one.* First Aid Certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis. Essential Skills and Attributes : Ability to provide a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all children.* Understanding the developmental milestones and needs of children in various age groups.* Capability to design, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs for children.* Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with children, parents and colleagues.* Ability to work as part of a diverse team.* Adaptable to various situations and needs that arise in an early childhood setting. Desirable Skills and Knowledge : Familiarity with the national early learning framework for children from birth to five years.* Understanding of the standards and assessment process to ensure quality service.* Respect and understanding of diverse cultures, families and individual children's needs.* Proficiency in using computers and relevant software to document children's learning and development.* Previous experience as an Educator, Assistant Educator, Childcare Assistant or similar.
