About the role:

Operating within School of Nursing, Midwifery & Paramedicine (QLD/ACT), the Professor (Nursing) will provide leadership, make outstanding and original contributions to research, scholarship and education in the Nursing discipline, and enhance the student life and experience at ACU. The Professor will be heavily involved in governance of academic programs, developing collegial life inside and outside the university, and building strong working relationships with external organisations and communities. The position will provide strong leadership and have a significant impact on the undergraduate and postgraduate discipline courses.

The State Head of School (QLD/ACT) will develop and implement strategies to ensure the effective management and sustainability of the discipline through appropriate course offerings, workforce management, productivity, and staff and student satisfaction. The role will foster a dynamic, service oriented and enterprising culture underpinned by strong local, national and international external relations.

This role will be filled by an academic who has and will continue to make original and innovative contributions to the advancement of scholarship, research and nursing education in the discipline of Nursing.

What we offer:

• Total remuneration valued to $260,037 - $260,037 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $220,723 - $220,723 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level E Increment 1), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
• 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
• Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
