  • Permanent full-time position, 35 hours per week

About The Role

Reporting to the Executive Manager City Positioning, you will provide an innovative approach to strengthen long term strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders to deliver on council’s key initiatives. Your dynamic and collaborative approach will be paramount whilst working in conjunction with Local, State and Federal bodies on a range of strategic projects to fundamentally shape and define the City’s purpose.

Key Skills and Attributes

  • A tertiary level qualification in a relevant discipline
  • In depth understanding of macro issues confronting high growth outer metropolitan areas and the necessary responses
  • Extensive local knowledge and the ability to interpret the knowledge into strategies and strategic approaches
  • Knowledge of state and federal government and their relevant agencies
  • Extensive experience in the hands on delivery of planning or property based initiatives
  • Vision and an ability to think and plan for the future
  • Extensive experience in local government, the public sector and a large, diverse organisation
  • Ability to gain the confidence and respect of Council, State and Federal Government officials, external bodies and staff at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage strategic projects
