The Role

Caulfield Campus | Wheelers Hill Campus

Our Exam Supervision Team play a vital roles in overseeing both VCAA and internal examinations in accordance with all VCAA regulations and School procedures. These positions are responsible for the secure receipt, storage, and distribution of examination materials, ensuring the highest standards of integrity and compliance.

Our Exam Supervision Team is also seeking expression of interests from Casual Assistant Exam Supervisors to work alongside the Chief Examination Supervisor. These roles provide essential logistical and supervisory support, managing a designated section of the exam room, ensuring students adhere to all examination rules and maintaining a fair, supportive environment. Preparing the examination space, directing students to their seats, collecting exam papers, and assisting with any additional materials or support students may require helping guide students through their end‑of‑semester and VCE examinations.

The VCAA requirements to be an Assistant Exam Supervisors state that you are not:

1. Related to, or associated with, any student required to sit the GAT or any student undertaking a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 2026 at the school where I am employed.
2. Teaching any student required to sit the GAT or teaching any student in a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 2026.
3. Tutoring a student required to sit the GAT or tutoring a student in a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 2026 at the school where I am employed.
4. Related to or associated with any person engaged in teaching, tutoring or coaching any students required to sit the GAT, or any students undertaking a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 2026, or any school personnel engaged in organising or checking VCE external assessment materials at the school where I am employed.
5. Employed at the school as a teacher (excluding CRT) or member of the administration staff.

Our key dates for examinations are as follows:

• Semester 1 Year 10 and 11 Exams – Friday 5th June to Thursday 18th June
• GAT – Tuesday 16th June – All Day
• VCE Units 3/4 Trial Exams – Monday 28th September to Monday 5th October
• End-of-Year VCAA Exams – Monday 26th October to Wednesday 18th November (Commencing with the English exam on Monday 26th October)
• Semester 2 Year 10 and 11 Exams – Monday 9th November to Thursday 19th November

Key Duties

• Be available for all key examination dates
• Adhere to all VCAA rules and regulations, ensuring there are no conflicts of interest. If a conflict arises, immediately inform the Chief supervisor.
• Follow procedures for the conduct of VCE examinations, including the distribution and collection of exam materials
• Maintain, within the school’s established guidelines, proper order and discipline among students
• Support relevant school personnel to ensure procedures are followed if a student becomes ill or in case of emergency
• Ensure acceptable student behaviour at all times
• Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours

Skills and Experience

• Experience with working within a school or examination environment is beneficial
• Ability to be calm under pressured situations
• Ability to keep students relaxed during their examinations
• Meet the eligibility requirements defined by the VCAA
• Hold or willing to obtain an Employment Working With Children Check.
