About the role:

We currently have an opening for a Technical Estimator and Design Draftsperson in our Keilor Park office . Reporting to the Laser Department Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting Automaint Lasers customers and clients through all items relating to parts manufacture & laser cutting and fabrication of their products
• Servicing our customer's needs and requests professionally, thoroughly and in a timely manner
• Follow up with customer requests, including quotations, order processing, technical and general queries.
• Assisting the production, sales, and customer service team with technical support when required

About the candidate:

• Experience in sheet metal manufacturing with a high degree of experience in drafting for sheet metal processes
• An understanding of fabrication processes including, laser cutting, folding, welding and assembly processes
• Experience with 3D design packages, preferably Inventor
• Experience in Sheetmetal design
• Preparation of quotes
• Liaising with suppliers to source components
• Good organizational and team working skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines
• Willing to learn laser cutting & brake press folding software
• An understanding of quality management systems
• A working experience of MS Office
• Training and ongoing support
• Company uniform
