Overview

Site Administrator & Payroll Officer at Opal — role responsible for processing payroll and PO’s, supporting the site management team and the Scoresby site in all administrative activities.

Responsibilities

  • General Administration of payroll and employee documentation.
  • Notifying employees regarding changes to pay rates/conditions early & notifications/system changes
  • Weekly processing of contractor hours via payroll system and communication to casual labour supplier
  • Ensure all contractor hours in the system is correct and approved in the system on a weekly basis
  • Process and file all payroll forms: Leave forms, change of duties, Wage adjustments, shift changes
  • Calculation of Preinjury average earnings and communicate initially, monitor ongoing weekly payments structure of amounts paid to affected employees
  • Daily, Weekly, monthly and yearly reporting in relevant reporting format
  • Typing and distribution of minutes from the monthly safety meetings, post OHS minutes and notice of next meeting to supervisors and OHS reps
  • Manage office supplies and office equipment maintenance requirements, purchase all relevant goods and organise all relevant services to meet these needs
  • Admin support for Site Management team

Qualifications

  • Relevant business course or administration would be preferred
  • 5+ years in a payroll/administration position, manufacturing preferred
  • HR experience highly valued
  • Strong office/ systems administration skills
  • Ability to evaluate situation and apply company policy/processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively at a wide range and high level
  • High standard of written and verbal communication
