  • Located in a prestigious Melbourne suburb, well-accessed with public transport, the office is in an iconic well-known shopping precinct, and celebrity precinct of Melbourne.

  • Offering tailored solutions to meet tax and business compliance for individuals, SMEs, SMSF, financial accounts, and strategic budgetary support to well-known brands and businesses.
  • Acting for clients in dealing with the ATO, ASIC and high-end compliance requirements and ensuring appropriate structuring, taxation, and planning of financial affairs.
  • The Partners have a wealth of experience in many areas of accounting, taxation & structuring.
  • They've successfully built strong and long lasting relationships with clients, and with many ancillary advisers in the taxation and corporate advisory area, including in property & retail.
  • The firm is a reputable firm that will add a high standing to your CV and career, and will add greatly to your client exposure, working to support the partners with complex work.

  • This is a senior business services/tax accountant role, which includes producing financial statements; BAS; filing ITRs, ATO & audit support, and hands on support to clients.

Seeking:

  • 10+ years' of Public Practice accounting experience in Australia
  • CA or CPA-qualified
  • $80,000 to $140,000 +SGC
  • Commensurate with experience

Duties:

  • Prepare financial statements & ITRs for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts
  • Prepare and review complex tax returns for mainly SMEs and/or HNWIs
  • Prepare BAS, and IAS for clients
  • Provide complex tax advice to clients
  • Dealing with CGT, Div7a, UPE, GST, SBTC, FTE/IEE, and FBT
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as required and audit assistance to clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients
  • Comply with professional standards and relevant legislation
  • Provide technical advice to clients, whilst managing a portfolio of clients
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data, with all deadlines met
  • Support junior staff members with their work papers and mentorship
  • Keep up to date with taxation laws and changes, and partake in training
  • Implement sound administrative and organisational processes
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
