About Us

As a leader in Emergency Response, Medical, Risk Management, and Training Services, Host Safety & Training Pty Ltd (RTO 40772) is seeking a skilled and experienced RTO Manager to join our team. We operate a state‑of‑the‑art training centre in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast QLD and are a recognised leader in construction, industrial, and high‑risk workplace training. We deliver nationally recognised training and qualifications aligned with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), with a strong focus on practical, site‑based delivery tailored to the needs of the construction, infrastructure, resources, and heavy industry sectors.

About the Role – RTO Manager

This is a key role in the organisation. You will be joining a dynamic and professional training team who are determined to provide high quality services to the industry to support both individual business needs and industry outcomes. The RTO Manager is responsible for ensuring that the organisation maintains compliance and quality standards, adheres to the highest education and training, and drives a culture of continuous improvement and innovation strongly aligned with the association’s values and high‑quality student learning and business outcomes.

The role will provide ongoing strategic guidance, technical expertise, coaching and mentoring to the organisation regarding compliance and operation matters. You will work closely with all areas of the association ensuring smooth operation and compliance is met, solving problems and issues, assisting projects, and providing analysis, advice and support on any compliance and contract questions and enacting changes to ensure compliance at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain quality assurance systems to ensure all quality and compliance requirements are met within the organisation.
  • Maintain governance policies, procedures and processes, conduct validation planning.
  • Write, review, update and implement policy and procedure documents relating to 2025 Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
  • Conduct internal review and audit activity to ensure that all compliance obligations are being met.
  • Monitor RTO compliance to meet changing business and industry demands.
  • Monitor the quality of RTO templates and documents for currency.
  • Review and validate competence and professional development of trainers.
  • Manage course improvement and development.
  • Coordinate student enrolment and induction.
  • Update training and assessment strategies and related documents.
  • Conduct quality indicator surveys and course evaluations for exiting students.
  • Develop strong relationships and networks with industry bodies.

About You

This highly varied and fast‑paced position will suit a candidate who enjoys working across various projects and tasks and can provide high‑level support and expertise. In this diverse role you will be working with people across the organisation, including industry representatives, trainers and regulators to deliver high‑quality training and assessment services for the membership and industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and hands‑on individual who upholds the highest standards and will lead by example. You will have demonstrated success in a similar senior role within an RTO environment and a commitment to ensuring best practice. It will be critical that the successful applicant can create and foster close working relationships with all key staff within the team and will be a good communicator, supportive and have a ‘can‑do’ attitude.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in TAE or higher‑level educational qualifications.
  • Qualification in Auditing, Business Management or similar (desirable).
  • Previous experience in a quality & compliance position with a minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in an RTO environment.
  • Extensive and in‑depth knowledge of compliance requirements for the VET sector, operational ASQA guidelines and RTO compliance requirements.
  • Hold an operational current working knowledge of the 2025 Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
  • Strong project management skills with a compliance focus.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in the emergency response, medical or workplace safety areas would be highly regarded.
