Job Description

• Lead the design and delivery of Qantas’ end-to-end dining and hospitality across lounges, inflight cabins, and key service touchpoints.
• Drive culinary innovation and manage supplier and chef partnerships to deliver premium, brand-aligned dining experiences.

We are seeking a strategic and creative Head of Dining & Hospitality to shape the end-to-end dining and hospitality experience across Qantas lounges, inflight cabins, and service touchpoints. As Head of Dining and Hospitality, you will define the culinary vision, lead menu innovation, and ensure a premium, consistent offering that aligns with the Qantas brand.

This role manages a cross-functional team and collaborates with key partners across Service Delivery, Procurement, Lounges, and Cabin Crew to deliver operational excellence. You will drive value through supplier and chef partnerships, oversee menu development, and ensure product selections meet both quality and cost expectations. With responsibility for budget planning and performance, you’ll balance creativity with commercial outcomes. Using data and customer insights, you’ll continuously refine the dining strategy to meet evolving customer preferences and set new standards in airline hospitality.

This is a rare and exciting senior leadership role within Qantas with high visibility and great ambition ahead. The Head of Dining and Hospitality will lead a direct team of 25, working closely in collaboration with operational delivery units.

You’ll have –

• 12+ years’ experience in food and beverage strategy, hospitality, airline catering, luxury service, or related industries
• At least 5 years experience in an airline environment
• Proven expertise in strategic product and experience design with a focus on premium culinary and F&B offerings
• Proven experience in delivering step change in customer experience and leading change in complex and constrained environments at scale
• Passion for customer-led innovation and elevating service experiences through insight and trend forecasting
• Strong background in supplier relationship and contract management, delivering value and quality
• Demonstrated success in leading operational delivery across multi-port, high-volume environments
• Experienced people leader with a collaborative, cross-functional working style
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, balancing creativity with business performance
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related discipline
