Are you a Development Manager looking for a new challenge? This role is particularly interesting, as it involves unique developments across different states of Australia and in New Zealand.
The role involves masterplanned and redevelopment projects in the leisure and tourism industry. From the time the site is acquired, you will be looking at delivery solutions across a range of different authorities. All the projects are in different stages; some are at the front end of DAs, and others are in the delivery stage.
Being a private developer, this role will be autonomous. You will report to the GM of Development, being trusted to manage your projects day to day. You will work closely with acquisitions, marketing and support staff, as well as local project staff, consultants and contractors.
Your previous experience delivering development projects will set you up for success in this role. You will need to be confident in assessing different potential outcomes and come up with practical, commercially astute solutions.
This role will require managing projects across multiple local government areas. A strong understanding of how different councils interpret planning schemes, their political climate, and the practical appetite for density and product type will be critical to success.
In each area, you will develop relationships with local contractors and builders and responsbile for overseeing projects. This role will require you to travel; their projects are in beautiful parts of Australia and New Zealand.
Ideally, we are looking for a Brisbane-based candidate; however, interstate candidates can be considered.
