Due to recent growth and an increased pipe line of work, I Connect Advisory is seeking a qualified FTTB technician to join our team performing internet installations for major ISPs across residential buildings in Sydney.

This is a great opportunity to join an established organization in the telecommunications space in the Sydney CBD and surrounding suburbs and further your growth in the cabling field.

Responsibilities

  • Complete jumpering and testing of customer services at units and at the MDF/IDF room
  • Communicate clearly with customers to ensure they are left satisfied and informed
  • Present yourself professionally when liaising with building and facilities managers
  • Manage tools, materials, and vehicle stock to ensure readiness for daily work
  • Ensure jobs are completed safely and complying with ACMA and WHS protocols
  • Provide regular updates to the team and project manager on job progress
  • Take and record clear photos of incomplete work or work pending completion

Ideal Candidate

  • Holds an ACMA Open Cabling License
  • Has a current drivers license and reliable vehicle
  • Owns suitable testing and hand tools
  • 1-2 years experience in FTTB, NBN, Copper/Fibre cabling or similar
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Other NBN experience ideal but not essential (FTTC, FTTN, FTTP)
  • Ability to troubleshoot copper cabling issues within residential apartment buildings
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident
  • Availability to operate within the nominated work hours 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday
