Project Manager
We’re currently partnering with an organisation in Melbourne’s north to appoint an experienced IT Project Manager to deliver a portfolio of medium-sized technology initiatives.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who can step into an active delivery environment, quickly establish momentum, and work closely with technical and business stakeholders to drive outcomes.
You’ll be working within a collaborative IT project delivery team, reporting into the Technology & Digital Solutions Lead, and will take ownership of planning, coordinating and delivering several concurrent projects.
Duration: Initially 3 months with an opportunity to extend
Rate: $1000-$1100 p/d
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the end-to-end delivery of IT and business technology projects
- Defining project scope, timelines, milestones and deliverables with sponsors and stakeholders
- Coordinating cross‑functional teams across technology and business areas
- Providing clear status reporting and governance updates to senior stakeholders and project boards
- Managing project risks, issues and change requests
- Supporting teams through process and technology change initiatives
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency following project delivery
You’ll also play a role in investigating technology challenges and identifying practical solutions, working with internal teams and external vendors where required.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role you’ll bring:
- 5+ years’ experience delivering IT projects in complex organisations
- Strong experience managing projects from initiation through to delivery
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams
- Experience using project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence or similar
- A structured approach to risk management, reporting and governance
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments
