Job description

About The Role

We are partnering with a growing organisation undergoing a significant finance transformation programme. As part of an exciting transition to bring finance activities back in-house, we are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the team on a contract basis through to Christmas.

This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with senior finance leadership, supporting key business stakeholders while helping drive change across the organisation. You'll play a critical role in ensuring robust financial reporting, supporting the upcoming budget cycle, and partnering with cost center managers during a period of transformation.

This opportunity is ideal for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can quickly build relationships across a business, and is comfortable operating with autonomy from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and timely management reporting and provide insight into financial performance.
  • Partner with cost center managers and operational stakeholders across the business.
  • Support the transition of finance activities back in-house as part of an ongoing finance transformation programme.
  • Assist with the 2027 budgeting and forecasting process, commencing in September.
  • Analyse margins, costs, and financial performance to support business decision-making.
  • Respond to ad hoc financial queries and provide commercial support to stakeholders.
  • Ensure strong financial controls and support BAU finance activities during the transition period.
  • Work closely with the Finance Business Partner and wider finance leadership team to deliver key outcomes.

About You

  • Experienced Management Accountant with the ability to hit the ground running.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, changing, or transformation environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
  • Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.
  • Commercially minded with a focus on delivering outcomes and adding value.
  • Strong reporting, analysis, and problem-solving capability.
  • Experience with Oracle is highly desirable.
  • Financial modelling experience would be advantageous.
  • Outgoing, proactive, and collaborative personality with a genuine desire to partner with the business.
