A permanent Consultant Anaesthetist opportunity is available within a major tertiary referral hospital serving a vast northern catchment.
This role offers high-acuity exposure, complex case mix and genuine breadth of practice. You will contribute across anaesthesia, acute pain and peri-operative medicine, supporting both elective and emergency services within a large, consultant-led department.

The Hospital
This large tertiary referral facility (approximately 350 beds) delivers secondary and tertiary services across:
• Emergency medicine
• Intensive Care
• General and subspecialty surgery
• Medical subspecialties
• Critical care services
The hospital acts as the principal referral centre for a vast regional and remote population, resulting in diverse and often high-acuity presentations.
The Anaesthetic Department is well established, with strong consultant leadership, structured training programs and multidisciplinary support. Accredited for 156 weeks with ANZCA

Requirements
• Specialist Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility)
• Fellowship of ANZCA (FANZCA) or nearing completion
• Minimum 12 months recent Consultant Anaesthetist experience
International Medical Graduates:
• Eligible for recognised ANZCA pathway (including Competent Authority)
• ANZCA interview confirmed
• Assessed as substantially comparable
• Visa pathways available
