We are seeking expressions of interest from candidates interested in learning new skills and starting a career at Bell Bay Aluminium Smelter. We have upcoming vacancies across our three key operating areas and are looking for energetic and safety driven people to join us.

About The Role

The role of an Operator is vital to the success of our business. Supported by your leader and the experienced team, you will learn to be responsible for supporting our operational departments to ensure the safe and sustainable production of aluminium through the operation of mobile and fixed plant equipment in conjunction with manual duties. You’ll be working in a hot, physically demanding environment, doing manual work that will challenge you. But you won’t be doing it alone. You’ll be part of a tight-knit, supportive team that’s got your back from day one. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience to build a rewarding career. Some Of The Key Responsibilities Of An Operator Include

• Vital Role: Supporting operational departments for safe and sustainable aluminium production
• Team Environment: Working collaboratively in a strong team setting
• Varied Responsibilities: Operating cranes, driving mobile equipment, process control, casting hot metal, and more

What You’ll Bring

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
• A current driver’s licence
• A demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and to autonomously manage your workload
• A willingness to work in a labour-intensive role, at heights and in hot environments
• Ability to work on a shift roster of 12-hour shifts including days and nights
