This role exists because demand is exceeding our current sales capacity.
THE NUMBERS - WHAT THIS ROLE ACTUALLY PAYS
We use the term "activate" - this means deals signed and moving into delivery. Our average activated deal is $20,000.
- A consultant activating $1.5M/year earns ~$120,000 (base + commission)
- A consultant activating $2.0M/year earns ~$150,000
- Top performer last year: $2.4M activated → $170,000+
Your minimum monthly target is $100,000. This is the baseline, not the stretch. If you are not comfortable working to this level consistently, this role is not for you. Most successful consultants operate at $120,000-$160,000 per month. Commission is structured to reward above-target performance significantly - rates discussed at interview.
THE LEADS
Each consultant receives 60 qualified inbound enquiries per month. These are not cold leads or scraped enquiries. They are customers actively requesting quotes. Leads are allocated and owned. You are responsible for working them.
Your job is not to create demand. Your job is to convert it.
The volume is there. The question is whether you can work it.
THE ROLE
You will manage a live pipeline inside Salesforce. Every lead is real. Every stage is defined. Every follow-up is owned by you. The system is built. The volume is there. Execution and follow-up discipline are what separate top performers.
Admin and permit workflows are supported so you can stay focused on selling.
A typical month:
- 60 inbound enquiries - all from customers who contacted us first
- 5-7 jobs activated at ~$20,000 each
- 8-12 active deals progressed toward proposal or close
- 3-5 proposals submitted
- Consistent outbound contact with customers who have already shown intent
If you cannot convert this level of enquiry into results, this role will be difficult. A strong month is one where you activated $130,000+ and know exactly why each deal in your pipeline has not moved yet.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Successful consultants here have sold a custom or configured product to homeowners or residential property owners. Not online. Not B2B. They have moved a real purchase decision forward over several weeks.
The people who perform well here:
- Know their own numbers - best month, close rate, average deal - without looking them up
- Own their pipeline and do not wait to be followed up by management
- Are comfortable making consistent outbound contact with customers who have already shown intent
- Have consistently worked to $100,000 or more in monthly sales targets and understand what it takes to hit them.
- Have managed a large active pipeline without losing track of where each deal sits
- Want to earn $150,000+ and understand that requires activating $2M+ per year
Background in kitchens, solar, windows, pools, home improvements, building materials, or real estate works well here - not for product knowledge but for sales rhythm.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN YEAR ONE
- Month 1–3: Learning product, permits and process. Activating $40,000-$70,000/month.
- Month 4–6: Full pipeline. Activating $70,000-$100,000/month.
- Month 7–12: At or above target. Annual OTE $120,000-$140,000.
- Year two: $150,000-$180,000+ for the right person.
THE STRUCTURE
$75,000 base salary plus uncapped commission. Structure and rates discussed at interview. What matters is the outcome - our top performers earn well above $150,000 annually.

THE HONEST PART
This role rewards follow-up discipline above almost everything else. There are customers in our pipeline right now who want to build and have not heard from their consultant in two weeks. That is a failure of ownership, not a failure of the lead.
There is no shortage of opportunity here. Only a shortage of people who execute consistently.
If you are looking for an easy inbound role where customers close themselves, this is not it. If you need to be told to follow up, this role will not work.
Consultants who succeed here make contact on their terms. They follow up on day three. They call on Monday. They do not wait.
