We are seeking an experienced, driven and safety focused Quarry Manager to lead all quarry operations and ensure the safe, efficient and cost effective extraction and processing of materials. This role plays a critical part in achieving production, quality and environmental outcomes while providing strong leadership to site personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Champion and embed a strong “safety first” culture across all quarry operations
Ensure compliance with WHS, mining, environmental and statutory obligations
Plan and manage day to day quarry operations to achieve production and quality targets
Optimise plant performance, equipment utilisation and resource allocation
Manage contractors, suppliers and maintenance activities to minimise downtime
Monitor and control operating costs and contribute to budgets and capital planning
Lead, coach and develop quarry personnel to drive engagement and performance
Maintain accurate safety, production, environmental and operational records
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support long term quarry development
About You
Demonstrated experience in quarry or mining operations with leadership responsibility
Strong working knowledge of WHS, mining and environmental legislation
A pro-active, accountable and safety focused leadership style
Commercially aware with a strong focus on results and efficiency
Well-developed problem solving, planning and decision making skills
Confident communicator capable of engaging teams and key stakeholders
Tickets, Licences & Qualifications
WA Quarry Manager’s Statutory Certificate (essential)
Senior Site Executive (SSE) qualification under WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022 (preferred)
Relevant DMIRS approved WHS risk management competencies
Valid Driver’s Licence
Senior First Aid Certificate
