About the role:

Bunnings Hallam Frame & Truss are looking for a Full-time Forklift Operator to join their team. The shifts are from Monday to Friday, with the occasional Saturday. We provide an adult pay rate for 18 years of age and above at $32.49 base rate per hour for this role.

In the Bunnings Frame & Truss centres, we continue our long history of servicing the needs of Australian trades. With the use of the automated technology the process of building and assembling frames and trusses has never been more cost effective, safe and efficient, making now the ideal time to join our team. We offer consistent, permanent work that you and your family can rely on regardless of weather or season.

What’s involved:

• Load timber wall frames and roof trusses

• Be responsible for stock management, considering safety aspects when using a forklift, and ensuring a clean and tidy work environment

• Manual handling: Picking, packing, and dispatching orders

• Forklift operation of a range of sized products, from standard pallet up to 6m packs of timber and everything in between

• Keep up to date on all training and implementation of safety standards

Who we’re looking for:

We’re on the lookout for team members who are passionate about helping others and keen to learn and grow. You’ll love variety in your day-to-day work, working across areas such as the assembly area and inventory accuracy, whilst also having the opportunity to grow your experience in other areas. A personal interest and experience in the industry is always a plus, however we will give you all the skills you’ll need and show you the ropes.

You’ll need:

• Basic knowledge of timber and building, although full training will be provided

• Current valid Forklift licence (essential)

• Capability to work on the tools

• An ability to work in and contribute to a team

• To act with integrity, be safe and do your best
