Hillston, NSW

One of the largest firming organization in South Australia is looking for an experienced, skilled Motor Mechanic to join their successful team in Hillston, New South Wales.

The role will include assisting the workshop with mechanical repairs on all brands of vehicles and machinery.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Motor Mechanic is responsible for service, maintenance, and repair work on both heavy and light vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure reactive and preventative maintenance, servicing and repair requirements are met in accordance with maintenance schedules (including oil changes, transmission fluids, air filters, tire changes, etc.).
  • Identify, test and repair different types of mechanical and electrical failures on vehicle engines and machinery.
  • Fault diagnostics and testing parts.
  • Perform repairs and replace defective or worn parts.
  • Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and check parts.
  • Reassemble engines and parts after repair.

Qualifications

  • Experience within a similar role.
  • Qualified mechanic (AQF certificate III or equivalent).
  • At least 3 years of fulltime experience.
  • Have a good eye for detail.
  • Must have intermediate or above computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to comply with all OHS policies and procedures.
  • Motivated and able to achieve targets.

An attractive remuneration will be based upon applicant's experience. This is offered at a basic salary of between $60,000 - $90,000 per annum plus superannuation.
