Southern Cross Care QLD has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner Manager to join the Finance team based at our Support Centre, conveniently located in Upper Mt Gravatt.

About the role

Working as a Finance Business Partner Manager, you will be providing comprehensive financial analysis, insights, and guidance to support decision-making, improve performance, and drive strategic initiatives. Supporting the Chief Financial Officer in areas including financial KPI reporting, trend analysis, budgeting, forecasting and assisting in the review and analysis of operational and strategic initiatives to improve the operational performance and service delivery of the organisation.  We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key accountabilities of the role would include :

  • Leading the annual budget process and ensuring the budgets are driven by organisational indicators and metrics
  • Leading business performance reforcasts and reporting
  • Monitoring and analysis of financial performance, identification of trends, risks, and opportunities to provide actionable insights to CFO, ELT and relevant business stakeholders
  • Maintaining business partnerships to serve as a trusted advisor to business unit leaders, providing financial insights and recommendations to drive performance and support decision-making by reviewing actual business performance against budget and key industry metrics and trends
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that improve financial outcomes
  • Reporting and compliance
  • Process improvement through implementation of Business Performance Indicators, benchmarking and continuous development of business performance reports and frameworks
  • Leadership - provide leadership and mentoring to the financial business partnering team
  • What you will bring to the role?

  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, business, economics or related field
  • CA / CPA / CIMA qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in the Aged Care Industry
  • Minimum 5+ years in financial planning and analysis, budgeting and business partnering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members
  • Demonstrated experience with the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products with a superior capability in MS Excel
