Nurse Next Door is a certified Great Places to Work. We are looking to build our care team with a variety of experienced Registered and Enrolled Nurses who can work a minimum of 20 hours per week.


Nurse Next Door is a premium home care service provider that enables people to live a fulfilling life at home for as long as possible, regardless of age or ability. We deliver flexible in-home nursing care options to those in the Aged Care and Disability sector, ranging from 24/7 care to one-hour visits for wound care or diabetes management.

About The Role


Making Lives Better and Happier Ageing is at the heart of what we do — enabling members of our ageing and disabled community to live a fulfilling life at home as long as possible, doing what they love to do. We provide around-the-clock care, so visits may be scheduled early morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight to meet our client's needs.



Responsibilities



  • Provide a premium care experience to our clients that is genuine, compassionate and personalised

  • Deliver care following the client\'s care plan that has been developed by the Care Designer (Registered Nurse)

  • Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly

  • Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly

  • Conduct Nursing Assessments



Skills & Experience



  • Community nursing would be an advantage

  • Subacute and disability experience

  • Ability to identify and report client care concerns to the Director of Clinical Operations

  • Ability to redirect or deescalate behaviours

  • Diabetes management

  • Dementia experience would be an advantage

  • Leadership experience is an advantage

Mandatory Requirements



  • Passionate about making a difference

  • A self-led leader with the ability to take responsibility for own behaviour and success

  • Coachable

  • AHPRA Registration

  • Registered or Enrolled Nurse

  • CPR and First Aid Certification

  • Car and Valid Drivers Licence

  • National Police Check (Aged Care/ Vulnerable Persons Sector)

  • Working With Children Check

  • NDIS Worker Screening Approval

  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion
