ABOUT THE COMPANY:

FDC have a diverse and interesting portfolio of current and future projects including but not limited to the data centre, commercial, industrial, retail, education, health care, student accommodation, and aged care sectors. They are currently embarking on several innovative, technically challenging, fast track Design and Construct projects.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will be assigned to work as part of an established site team on either a fast-track data centre build in Southwest Sydney or a prestigious landmark, 5-star Greenstar development based in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.
Senior Contract Administrators manage subcontract, head contract, and administration on projects, but they also give input into program, design, buildability, and quality issues. In addition, strong procurement skills are essential, as they are responsible for sourcing, negotiating and engaging subcontractors and suppliers to ensure, best value, compliance, and timely delivery of project requirements.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Tertiary Qualified in Building or Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
- Strong working knowledge of major building trades obtained while working for reputable Building Contractors
- A competent history of preparing cost forecasts, preparing cash flow analysis, and monitoring financial outcomes on significant construction projects.
- Experience of assessing subcontractor variations and preparing head contract variations.
- Awareness of commercial and legal issues pertaining to head contracts
- Sharp negotiation skills and an ability to work in partnership with subcontractors.
- Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end procurement processes, including tender preparation, evaluation, and contract award.
- Experience of capably liaising with clients and building robust working relationships with all stakeholders
- Excellent track record of working closely with site teams and a natural aptitude to mentor and lead others.
- A working knowledge of construction specific Acts, Codes and Regulations, in particular the Building Code of Australia, Security of Payments Act and the Work Health & Safety Act.
