About the Role
The Management Accountant is responsible for building and maintaining clear, reliable business performance reporting across Austranna. This role translates operational and financial data into practical insights for senior management and directors, with a strong focus on KPI development, cost visibility, monthly budgeting, cash flow awareness, and decision support.
The role is site-based at our state-of-the-art facility, located just outside of Amberley, Ipswich.
Responsibilities
- Establish and continuously improve KPI, cost and performance reporting, including dashboards across the business
- Own the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process, including consolidation, review and management reporting
- Partner with leaders to capture operational plans, spend, headcount and cash flow requirements
- Deliver clear, timely reporting on performance, costs and budget vs actual outcomes
- Lead variance analysis, identifying trends, risks and drivers, and translating insights into practical business actions
- Develop scalable reporting frameworks, dashboards (e.g. Power BI) and data governance as the business grows
- Support decision-making through scenario modelling, forecasting insights and continuous improvement of reporting practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards).
Required Skills
- Experience in a management accounting, commercial finance, financial planning and analysis, or similar business-facing reporting role.
- Demonstrated experience building management reports, budget packs, and performance reporting for non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating budgeting or forecasting processes across multiple departments.
- Experience with Power BI, ERP systems, and/or data-driven reporting environments is strongly preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, pharmaceutical or regulated industries (advantageous)
