TEAM LEADER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT

Full-time position as Team Leader covering our offices in Ballina, Murwillumbah, Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads, Mullumbimby and Pottsville.

The Transition to Work employment service helps young people aged 15-24 into work (including apprenticeships and training) or education.

Transition to Work participants receive intensive, pre-employment support to develop practical skills to get a job, connect with education or training, find local job opportunities and connect with relevant local community services.

About the role

As part of VERTO's Transition to Work team, the Team Leader provides site-based leadership which requires effective leadership skills, a positive proactive and forward-thinking approach to achieving financial, contractual and team KPIs.

About you

To be successful in this exciting and rewarding role you will have the following skills:

• Ability to lead and drive a team in an outcomes focused environment
• Possess a 'can-do' attitude
• Demonstrate an innovative approach to problem solving
• High level communication and people management skills
• Strong local networks, including experience in promoting and engaging with the wider community and stakeholders
• Knowledge of the local labour market and labour market trends
• Excellent administrative capability and IT user proficiency
• Current drivers licence and ability to travel within your local region
• Previous Employment Services experience is desirable, but not essential

Your key responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership and promote a positive culture within the Transition to Work team
• Ensure financial and contractual KPIs are met for the site
• Achieve site job placement targets
• Apply effective performance management to achieve team targets
• Ensure contractual compliance to relevant Deeds, Policy and Legislation
