About the role

Box Hill Hospital Special Care Nursery is a 12-bed unit that currently provides a level four high dependency neonatal service. We are working towards becoming a level five neonatal service. With support from our multi-skilled team, you will be able to utilise your clinical knowledge and experience to provide specialised, family centred nursery care to babies (from 32 weeks gestation) with a range of clinical conditions (including Bubble CPAP and High flow).

As a team member of our unit, you will be part of a highly dedicated multi-disciplinary team incorporating medical, nursing, clerical and allied health professionals. About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Relevant experience in NICU or higher level SCN
• Current registration with AHPRA
• Availability to work a rotating roster
• Post Graduate qualifications in Neonatal Care (desirable)
• Competent Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation
• Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
