AI & Automation Engineer (Copilot Studio)

The Opportunity:
This is a founding AI & automation engineering hire at a PE-backed financial advisory and accounting firm that has already proven the model works.

With board backing and budget committed, the team has moved beyond experimentation. Live use cases are in production, and there is now a genuine pipeline of workflow problems the business wants solved through agentic AI.

You won't be joining a mature function to optimise around the edges. You'll help shape what the AI capability becomes, how it gets built, and where it creates the most value across the business.

Reporting directly to the CIO, you'll turn that early success into scalable AI systems.

The Role:

• This is not a classic ML or Data Science role. It’s a hands-on senior IC role for someone who can take a real business problem, apply agentic AI in practice, and ship solutions that deliver value.
• That could be a Microsoft-first full-stack engineer who has moved into AI agents and applied AI systems. Or it could be a Power Platform developer who has expanded into AI, automation, and workflow delivery.

What you’ll be doing:

• Design and deploy AI agents and intelligent workflows across key business use cases
• Build across Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, and the wider Power Platform
• Develop data pipelines, semantic models, and reporting to support AI and analytics
• Integrate AI solutions into core systems through APIs and Azure services
• Turn successful internal use cases into repeatable, governed solutions
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify workflow and automation opportunities
• Ensure solutions meet privacy, governance, and audit requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Hands-on experience building commercial AI agents, intelligent workflows, or applied AI solutions IN Copilot Studio.
• Strong Microsoft ecosystem capability across Power Platform and Azure services
• Experience integrating AI into real business processes, not just experimentation or proof-of-concept work
• Good API and systems integration capability, ideally with some Azure Functions, PowerShell, SQL, Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting experience
• Able to work end-to-end, from workflow discovery through to build, deployment, and iteration
• Comfortable operating as a senior IC with a high level of autonomy
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in financial services, professional services, or other detail-heavy environments would be valuable

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
