About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker you will play a vital role in assisting NDIS participants to live independently and achieve their goals. Your support may be provided in participants homes community settings or other care environments.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Support & Daily Living Assistance Support participants with daily activities including personal care meal preparation and household tasks.

Community Engagement Encourage and assist participants in social and community activities appointments and recreational outings.

Empowering Independence Work alongside participants to build life skills confidence and autonomy in their everyday lives.

Emotional & Behavioural Support Provide companionship and support in line with participants needs and individual care plans.

Safe & Respectful Environment Maintain a safe and respectful space for participants ensuring all support aligns with NDIS guidelines and best practices.

Essential Requirements

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Current Drivers Licence & Reliable Vehicle (Comprehensive Insurance Preferred)

First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Working With Children Check (WWCC)

NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion

Desirable Experience

Previous experience in the disability sector or similar support roles

Experience supporting individuals with complex needs personal care or behavioural support

Understanding of NDIS plans and participantcentred care

Empathy & Patience Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships.
