You will be responsible for the provision of guidance, advice and support for the new Start Smart Program.

This program aims at welcoming back the Councillors to Central Coast Council and will work on establishing and / or improving systems to ensure organisational and legislative governance requirements are met.

The role also aims to review and support governance matters including but not limited to the management of Central Coast Council policies, staff delegations, Code of Conduct and Legislative compliance registers.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include :

  • Assist with and provide support to the Start Smart Program
  • Use judgement to balance the need for organisational compliance with legislative requirements
  • Assist the Governance Section with reporting for all Governance matters; including policies, delegations, and legislative compliance registers
  • Assist the Governance Section with the proactive release of information in accordance with relevant legislation including but not limited to the GIPA Act, PPIP Act and Copyright Act.

    This role provides a commencing salary range of between $69.5k to $83.4k per annum dependent on skills and experience + 11% superannuation.

    A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role,with flexible / hybrid working arrangements available.
