About the role:
- Assist Speech Pathologists in delivering therapy to children in various settings (home, school and clinic).
- Provide individualised support to children, focusing on enhancing their communication skills and independence.
- Help in creating, implementing and monitoring therapy plans to ensure positive outcomes.
- Document progress and assist with assessments and reports, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of each child’s abilities.
- Work closely with families, providing support and actively listening to their needs and goals.
- Be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, helping to create an integrated approach to care.
Essential criteria:
- Relevant qualification (eg. Allied Health Assistance) or upcoming qualification in the field of Speech Pathology.
- Experience working as an Allied Health Assistant for Speech Pathologists or Speech Pathology Assistant is desirable but not required.
- NSW driver's license and own transport
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow a therapy plan as delegated by a therapist and respond to feedback.
