Job Title: Behaviour Support Practitioner - Graduates/Training - Sydney NSW
Working hours: 16 - 38 hours / Week (Flexible for part time)
Salary: Competitive salary (based on experience) + CPD + Benefits
Location: Sydney, NSW
About the role
Our client is seeking passionate and driven experienced Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioners to work with a diverse caseload of Mental Health, Physical, ASD, Cognitive/Neuro – 75% adults. Ideally, you will have knowledge and confidence with the following:- Demonstrate ability to conduct comprehensive behaviour assessments and designing, implementing and evaluating behaviour support plans
- Understanding of evidence-based principles and relevant standards
- Demonstrate an awareness of the principles of positive behavioural intervention, including strategies that are embedded in the context of strengths based and least restrictive practices
- Support NDIS participants’ inclusion and participation in the community
- Demonstrate a range of intervention strategies to address needs that relate to activities of daily living, social integration, sensory processing and integration and mental health management
- Participate in regular professional development opportunities to keep up with current developments
Requirements:
- Current professional body registration (where appropriate)
- Experience as a behavioral support practitioner (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Working with Children’s check
- Current Driver’s license
- Ability to effectively communicate with parents and carers.
- A passion for helping people with behavioural difficulties
