We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Scrub Scout Nurse to join our Perioperative team on a full-time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care are provided.
As a Perioperative Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout your responsibilities will include:
- Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only)
- Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient
- Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology

The hospital is a private not-for-profit 98 bed hospital. It offers a range of specialties including ENT Surgery, general medicine, neurosurgery, opthalmology, orthopaedic surgery, paediatric surgery and plastic & reconstructive surgery. The hospital is equipped with 8 operating theatres, a dedicated paediatric day stay unit and a level 2 critical care unit.About You
- Relevant Post graduate qualification
- Experienced Scrub scout Nurse with a minimum of 3 years
- Previous leadership experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Excellent time management
- Ability to lead staff in a manner that is encouraging, positive and supportive
- Have initiative and keep abreast of developments relevant to the perioperative environment
