About the OPPORTUNITY:

BAE Systems Hawk Lead-In-Fighter program is current hiring qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineers across Mechanical, Avionics, Structures & Armament trades, to support with the ongoing sustainment and capability growth based in Williamtown NSW. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer on the program, you will report to a Team Leader and perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in accordance with authorised technical data and regulatory standards.

Mechanical:

• Responsible for hydraulic, environmental, pneumatic and propulsion systems, related system components and propellers at a standard to meet all regulatory and airworthiness requirements.

Avionics:

• Fault diagnosis and maintenance of avionics systems
• Electrical and integrated aircraft systems
• Compliance with technical publications and certification requirements

Structures:

• Production, maintenance and sheet metal repair
• Composite and bonded structure repairs
• Structural modifications and inspections

Armament:

• Maintain the emergency escape system, egress systems and aircraft weapon systems from the computers on board to the stores the aircraft carries
• Load and handle various aircraft and stores

About YOU

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills trade or equivalent (Mandatory)
• Australian Citizenship (Mandatory)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance and ITAR (Mandatory)
• Strong attention to detail and compliance mindset
• Ability to work in high-performance team environments

Application Requirements & Clearances

Equivalent aircraft maintenance trade qualifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis depending how it aligns to the current Certificate IV in Aeroskills apprenticeship training standard. Please note, as a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances: further information regarding security clearance. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
