Credit Risk Manager

Work Type: 12 Months Fixed Term Contract (3 to 4 days per week)

We are seeking an experienced Fractional Credit & Risk Manager to join a high-growth organisation within the financial services sector. This is a hands‑on, embedded role supporting the business on an ongoing basis, with a strong focus on leading the day‑to‑day Credit and Risk function.

This role suits a senior professional who thrives in agile environments and brings deep expertise in credit operations, risk oversight, and team leadership within lending environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day‑to‑day Credit and Risk function
• Oversee credit operations, service levels and performance
• Manage and develop an existing Credit team
• Support the development and implementation of credit policies
• Monitor portfolio performance and risk exposure
• Drive process improvements and uplift team capability
• Provide reporting, insights and recommendations to the executive team

About You

• Proven experience in consumer lending, non-bank lending or fintech lending
• Strong understanding of credit risk and credit decisioning frameworks
• Demonstrated experience managing credit teams and operations
• Hands‑on leadership style with ability to embed into the business
• Strong stakeholder engagement and executive reporting capability
