About the role
The Team Leader People Connect and Payroll Services is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of payroll functions for Central Coast Council employees. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing while upholding compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and contracts.
You will engage with employees and supervisors, providing quality customer service and enhancing employee satisfaction through effective query management. Additionally, you will lead initiatives that promote self-service functionality, support team development, and drive projects that align with our organisational goals.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record in payroll and HRIS management.
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Human Resources, or related field, or substantial experience in a similar role.
- Significant experience with HRIS and Payroll systems, with a focus on process improvement.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including effective communication and team management.
- Strong understanding of employment, payroll, and taxation legislation.
Other Important Information
- The commencing salary for this position is up to $106k. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $123k on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation.
- We have a permanent full-time role available.
- We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role.
- This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building.
