About the job:

As part of the Business Advisory team, you will provide outstanding services to local and international clients across a diverse range of industries. You will be a crucial contributor to our fast-growing business and will help to build our future as well as your career.

• Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, group tax summary and loan summary for corporate and family groups, including Trusts, Companies, Partnerships, Individuals & SMSFs
• Preparation of payroll tax returns, FBT returns, activity statements
• Working as part of a team where you will work closely with other senior business services accountants
• Delegating and reviewing junior work
• Use of MYOB suite, Xero, Class Super
• Liaising with clients and other external service providers
• Develop your knowledge with U Learn, the Forvis Mazars individualised learning platform

About you:

• Ideally, have a minimum of 6 - 8 years of experience in Business Services/ Advisory Accounting with an Australian accounting firm
• Experience in working with mid to large-size clients essential
• Preparation of payroll tax returns, FBT returns, activity statements
• Working as part of a team where you will work closely with other business services accountants
• Delegating and reviewing junior work
• Liaising with clients and other external service providers
• Completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree (or equivalent) and Chartered Accountants Program (or CPA or ACCA)
• Good working experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, MYOB and Xero
• Working knowledge of Class Super is highly regarded
• Ability to lead the team and work with others
• Confidence in dealing with clients and technical issues
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Willingness to learn
