A Northern QLD hospital requires a Senior Medical Officer in General Practice for a temporary assignment from 13/07/2026 to 18/07/2026.

Location: Tully, Cassowary Coast region, 140 km south of Cairns.

Job Details

• Hospital: 20‑bed MM5 with 24/7 ED, GP services and inpatient care serving a population of 12,000.
• Staffing: 3 Senior Medical Officers, 4 Primary Health Officers, 1 Resident Health Officer; overnight on‑call provided by a PHO.
• Working hours: Full‑time, 7 days a week; on‑call demands manageable with existing PHO overnight coverage.
• Accommodation, car and flights provided.
• Rate: AUD $2,700 per day (or $2,700 per month – as per employer’s offer).

• Registered with AHPRA and hold Right to Work in Australia.
